Whatever happened to Presidents who just wanted oral??

I'm reading Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men." What an education I'm getting! I knew that the Bush ("Son of the Snake" as he's known abroad) administration stunk worse than a pile of burning Firestone radials. What I didn't know was just how much worse. After the first 31 pages, I was irate. The more I read, the madder I'm getting.

I wonder how this all happened. How did America let its guard down enough to let something like Dubya happen to us? Why aren't we doing something about it now? Is it just easier to look the other way? Do we think the government isn't screwing us directly? Is it easier for us to buy that the President's opponents are wrong than it is to believe that our government is broken?

It's very clearly broken, too.

Some guy that wasn't elected President is hamming it up on TV. The members of his team are continuing his Daddy's agenda, which is no way, shape, or form for the "good" of this country.

Remember that scene in "Matrix" when you're shown the people farms, where computers harvest humans as a source of energy? That really happens in Minnesota. Just kidding, but metaphorically, that's what's going on here kids. The computer is the government, and you the public are being farmed for your resources, which, for the most part, is money (taxable income). The agenda here isn't even world domination, it's just rich get richer.

And just like the way most people grow up in the religion of their parents, usually not questioning it, we're growing up without really questioning the fleecing we're getting. There's a lot of fishy bullshit going on, and we're just letting it slide. The embarrassingly ineffective* "War on Terrorism" has our attention preoccupied, or at least distracted from the utter lack of any domestic policy from the Muppet in the White House.

I'm sorry, I misspoke there. There isn't a complete lack of domestic policy. It does exist, but you're not supposed to know about it. It's called "Rape and Pillage." Buy up all of California's energy, sell it back for more. Bury nuclear waste in a mountain in Nevada. Need oil? That's what national parks are for!

Maybe that's why we're not asking questions. Maybe the people of America have "battered wife syndrome." Maybe we're afraid that a government that fucks us so violently now will only hurt us more if we bring up how full of shit it is.

Anyway, it's a good read. I recommend it highly. We, the people, need some empowerment and encouragement. Perhaps we'll get the strength to tell the coke-head fratboy with a criminal record who's been usurping the power of the Oval Office that NO means NO.
